Pro 4: Woo Filtering

Hello,

If we were to build a new Woo store and want to add dynamic filtering on product attributes - how would we do that with Pro 4? We need a way to add a filter to a page and map it to an attribute such as price or colour, and have that show in the page UI and apply dynamically to the Loop provider.

I don’t believe any of this exists in Pro 4 - any ideas how we could custom code this and stay within the Pro 4 framework?

Thanks, Bill.

Hi Bill,

Regretfully, the Looper Provider has its own set of parameters and works with those only, external parameter can’t be injected into it. Still, if you explain and elaborate on what you are expecting, I will make a feature request so it might be taken into account in the future.

Thanks for understanding

I thought my note made it clear what I’m suggested but here’s some examples:

https://www.haircoandbeauty.co.uk/product-category/hairdressing/accessories-hairdressing/

  • filter by price UI element
  • filter by any product attribute UI element

https://www.condell-ltd.com/roofing/velux-roof-windows

  • Compound filters on multiple attributes UI elements

Without these a Woo shop is going to be quite limited on Pro 4. Only pages with pre-defined content using the Looper provider parameters.

Sounds like the Pro 4 Woo options are stuck until ThemeCo provide a way to support filters.

Bill.

Miroslav provided a copy of this plugin, which when setup with a shortcode in the Ui provides filtering on a Pro 4 layout page.

Hi Bill,

We have already made a feature request so it might be taken into account in the future. Please stay tuned for upcoming releases. Regarding the plugin mentioned in your last comment, we are really not aware of this plugin and haven’t tested it with our theme.

Please remember that we don’t offer any support to 3rd party plugins or related issues.

Thanks
