PRO 4.1.4 theme and origin URL / preview URL mismatch

Dear Sirs…
I recently moved domains from one server to another and updated to Pro 4.1.4 after.

Of course I read the docks and the changes log before - which indicated no major “perils”.

To be clear: I designed the new site under the server’s default address provided by the host and I moved just the domains from the old server to the new server. I just needed to change the domain in the wordpress installation. The wordpress installation did not change, nor the database.

  1. I can edit the content of the pages but not headers due the URL mismatch. Both URLs in the “settings -> general” of the WP installation are equally set to the new domain. Still the preview URL while editing headers is the old server address. Again, this is only for editing headers, editor’s preview for content works just fine.

  2. I cleared all caches! No caching plugin installed yet.

  3. suddenly I have no option to change the page template in the page settings (gear wheel in the editor while editing the specific page) - but not all pages. Some pages have a “second” option. Creating new page I can’t set the template but default only. Before the theme update I could set the template to something like “no container, header, footer”. This is a major issue!!!

  4. I have no option in the editor to turn the page title off. that was there in the previous versions.

  5. Where did you move the settings for the class “.entry-wrap”? There is suddenly a top margin I can’t find the settings for in the editor.

.100) Guys what’s going on? Can you add an option to roll back the updates? I know, wishfull thinking.

for wp credentials pls see secure note

UPDATE: fixed point 3. It was a glitch with the child theme style.css.
fixed point 5. - it had to do something with point 3.

BTW: I read this very carefully: https://theme.co/docs/warnings-in-the-builders
Did not find any conflicts in respect to this. The issue affects the headers only. There is no warning in chrome about mixed content (https/http mismatch).

EDIT: updated to 4.1.5 - no effect on the URL mismatch issue and point 4

I checked the page code of the editor while editing header in the browser. I did not find any “http://s85…” code in there…

Hello Ondrej,

I was able to find a resolution to your issue. I have installed a search and replace plugin. I search for “http://s857943716.online.de/” and I had to replace it with “https://lauretana.de”.

Kindly check your site now.

Hello Ruenel. I was sweeping the database itself for this. I found some places but with no significance to the editor. I guess this “search and replace” does do the same thing. So I obviously missed some. It is still a riddle, how this is not automatically updated by the value in the “genreral -> settings”.
Thank you very much for your effort.
Kind regards.

Hi Ondrej,

We are also not quite sure why it is happening on that way but the good thing is that my colleague was able to find an alternative solution to solve your issue.

Thank you.
