Hey guys,

when I use a background video every styles are broken:

Okay, no bug here… I am using above this area a widget area element who cause this problems, I think. So probably widget area in combination with a background video cause editor problems?

Hi,

I tried it on my test site and didn’t find any issue with that combination.

May I know what is the content of your widget area element.

Try to add just text widget and some text only.

If you wouldn’t mind providing us your wordpress admin login in Secure Note so we can take a closer look.

Thanks I duplicated the site and will share login in a secure note.
I think the problem is the chauffeur plugin (its a widget) on the home page, cause this problem is just on the home page.

Hi @RSMG,

You’re correct, that plugin is triggering a jQuery error within the builder. I disabled the plugin and the background starts working. Please deactivate that plugin while you’re editing in the builder.

The plugin author told me that the needed js files cant get executed. So this error appears. Is there a way Pro supports external js in the editor?

I am sorry but for this plugin to work it will need to be integrated into the theme but this would be outside the scope of support that we can offer.

This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!

thanks for your answer. So this means there is actually no way for external plugin authors to integrate their plugin. Right? I think this can happens more often, especially when you are using the element “widgetized area”. So probably the best way is to deactivate the live view for this element in general? What do you mean?

Hey @RSMG,

It depends on the script that you want to integrate. For instance, third party plugins bundled in X like Slider Revolution and the grid plugins don’t have a preview inside the builder because their scripts causes issues or conflicts with the builder’s scripts.

It’s not possible to deactivate the Widget Area preview because this conflict does not happen frequently. You can still put scripts in there provided they don’t conflict with the builder.

For your case, you will need to deactivate the third party plugin if you’re going to work in the builder.
