Hey Themeco Team, Is there a Way maybe over Custom JS to Stop Youtube Videos by closing a V2 Modal Element? I embed often YT Vids inside Modals to safe Space in the Articles. Every Video must be stopped or it runs in Background if you closing the Modal. Greets from Germany, Uwe.
Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Your videos are hosted on your site so you need a way to communicate to youtube videos, like API.
https://developers.google.com/youtube/iframe_api_reference (you’ll have to embed it in different way). Then attach a javascript event on modal close icon to initiate the stop() action. You may want to check this with some developer for efficient implementation.
Since the modal content isn’t embed-type specific then there is no specific integration between video hosting. It can be just normal texts and no son.
Thanks!
Thx for the Head Up… I found many Sources to this and think i “rock” it…
The YouTube API´s wasnt on my Radar…
Glad that you managed to implement the functionality
