PRO 1.2.4 and WPML

Hi,

When I want to translate a header (or footer) in the header and footer builder, the page doesn’t load. The only work around I can think of doesn’t work either. When I try duplicating a header in the translated version, the preview won’t load ( a conflict on the front end etc). In fact, I cannot duplicate a header at all! Very strange. Update: in fact I can copy a header or footer, but I can’t assign the corresponding translated pages. I can when I change the string to /en/x/#/footers in stead of /x/#/footers/?lang=en, since then the relevant pages are showing. But on the front end this footer won’t show.

Then again all this would be of minor interest if the original build in translate function of the latest update would work.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Yes, it should be /en/x/#/footers since permalink rewrite is enabled.

I just tried it, assigned the footer to English page (while /en/x/#/footers is active) and the footer is displayed in English page (given that main language is NL.

Would you mind providing the video of exact procedure on how to reproduce this? Maybe I’m missing something.

Thanks!

Hi,

I really would like you to address the main problem first. Being that when I want to translate a header or footer the way it is meant by the latest update, the page won’t fully load. Since that would be highly preferred above the work around, which is in my humble opinion still not working.

TIA

Hi there,

Yes, something is weird and not working. I can reproduce it on my local installation, I can’t duplicate my footer to a different language, but once succeeded it got stuck to translate section. I’ll add this to our issue tracker, I tried some workaround with no success so I can’t provide a temporary fix. I’ll add this thread too so we can reply once we get some response from our developer.

Thanks!

Glad to hear that and thanks for sharing!
