Preview on posts index page and category base

Hi there,
I’m really satisfied with how Pro and X are evolving (adapted to the dark UI right away!). I do see some potential for improvement regarding posts (not static pages). Hence, two questions:

1. I have set my posts index page to a custom page called themen and activated the Masonry style, see https://zahnarzt-helden.de/themen. As I want to utilize the styling possibilities of Cornerstone, I activated the builder for Posts. The effect is that there is no excerpt (preview) on the post index page. How is it possible to show excerpts using this setup?

2. We want to use categories to organize our posts, e.g. marken. Ideally, the category base is the same as my post index page themen. Can you tell if this is generally possible? I’m confident with some functions.php editing. Currently, the category base is set to thema (as in https://zahnarzt-helden.de/thema/marken), but that’s not what we want.

You can add the manual excerpt by clicking the Screen Options button on the right hand side:

Then check on the Excerpt:

I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your email. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.
