Preview Not Working After Update

Hey Guys,

I updated our site yesterday to the latest pro and now the preview won’t work when editing the page. Anything I can do to get that feature back?

Hi guys,

There are many contributing factors why this happens and we’ll be more happy to find out which one. Would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in a secure note?

@noahhurst, please start a new thread about this and provide the URL and credentials as well. We recommend using the secure note in user’s own thread for security :slight_smile:

I’m seriously only having issues with the new update. Preview is still not showing, I can’t add any templates, and now I can’t even edit certain pages at all. Starting to get really frustrating.

Any idea when this can be fixed?

Also, is there no way to hyperlink text within a text element anymore? I can’t figure out how to do that and that seems odd to me. And now when I add headers they all default to a text view, why? With that, I have to manually set the size, colors, etc.

Hi Ann,

I’m sorry for the delay getting back to you. We’ve been able to confirm part of what you’re experiencing is due to a bug in the plugin. There’s a conflict with the lightbox shortcode. It isn’t commonly used so it wasn’t caught until now. This will be fixed in the next release.

Links can be added using HTML directly in the text mode, or by using the link button in the rich text mode. You may need to click the last button to see the rest of the options available.

And I’m sorry, totally missed the button to view all options available (such a rookie mistake!). I was adding all the links manually using HTML but it took forever lol

It’s been fixed in the release candidate currently being tested. The official release is planned for early next week.

The problem is the update. I just created a test install with X 5.1.1 and Cornerstone 2.0.6 – live preview works perfectly. My live site – X 5.1.1 and Cornerstone 2.1.3 doesn’t work. Conclusion: Using 5.1.1 and 2.0.6 until a stable update is available.
