Post Preview via URL in Workplace (FaceBook)

When I copy the link for a post and then use it in another social platform, like WorkPlace (by FaceBook) it generates a preview of the post, but is pulling a default image from somewhere. Is there a setting to control a global default site image?

This is the URL to the post I am promoting in anther social channel - http://www.naccho.org.au/submission-parliamentary-inquiry-into-ndis-readiness/

And this is how it looks…

Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! To resolve your issue, you will need to disable X’s default Open Graph settings under Appearance > Customize > Social > Open Graph. X outputs standard Open Graph tags for your content. You need to disable this and let Yoast SEO plugin handle the open graph.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Is an alternative approach to change the default image that is displayed? If so where do I do this?
Thanks, Joe.

Hi there,

There is no alternative way of changing that image, it always pulls your page featured image, or SEO image if you have a plugin. And to clear your Facebook cache (to display recent image) then you must use their own tool, like this https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/, then hit the Scrape Again button.

Thanks!
