Post meta turned off, but date, categories, comments still appearing on some posts

I have “post meta” turned off in the customizer settings, but for one of my categories, the meta data still appears. For example see this post and you’ll see the date, categories and comments are listed below the post title at the top…

Other posts (such as this one) appear as expected with the post meta data hidden.

Why is this not happening on all posts? Thanks

Hello There,

This: http://tryvegdev.wpengine.com/recipe/chickpea-of-the-sea-salad-recipe/ is a custom post type. Options for Post Meta in Theme Options/ Customizer only works for default post type like this: http://tryvegdev.wpengine.com/food/cows-fascinating-facts-you-might-not-know/ or for portfolio. It is designed that way because we cannot predict the custom post type everyone will be adding. Now we can use custom CSS though to hide those post meta for that custom post type.

Hi, thank you for that video.

I’ve tried the CSS but unfortunately the post meta was not affected. I also tried adding !important:

.single-recipe p.p-meta {
    display: none !important;
}
