Our post archive page has a top row (2 cols) where the latest post is previewing in col1. Below that is a recent post section. How do I keep the 1st post from also displaying in the recent post section?

I would request please share the admin login details meanwhile I would suggest you troubleshoot a few of the common issues before we investigate your settings. Please share your details in a secure note. Please provide the following details
- WordPress Login URL
- Admin-level username and password
- Exact page URL
You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts

The first column should also be a Looper Consumer set to display ONE item. This will display the latest blog entry.
The Recent Posts Section will then display the remaining blog entries.
