Post Archive missing random posts

Using the latest version of Pro, we have set up a Post Archive page in Cornerstone for all of our posts in the “Thought Leadership” category. We’ve found that the archive is missing a number of properly categorized posts. Here are some issues we’ve found in troubleshooting:

  • If we create a duplicate of a missing post, it often appears in the archive, but disappears if we delete the original page.

  • If we change the publish date to another random date, that sometimes makes it appear in the Archive page, but not always

I’ll leave more specific details and login credentials in a Secure Note if you are able to help. Thanks!

Hello @lydonassoc,

Thanks for writing in! Please be advised that the Post items in the category and all archive pages will be displayed in chronological order. It will always be displayed on the correct archive page. You just need to navigate to the correct page number of the archive.

  • See the secure note below.

You have duplicate post items with a different time stamps. It is displayed in page #3 at the moment. It is supposed to display on page #2 as well but then in your Looper Consumer, it only display 6 items and the 4 items disappeared. You will have to edit your custom layout and then select “All” in your Looper Consumer.

Hope this helps.

When I change the Looper Consumer to “All” it displays 8 posts on the page. The client would like 6 per page. How can I achieve that without cutting off some of the posts?

Hello @lydonassoc,

By default the WordPress post per page is been set from the WordPress —>Settings —>Reading —>Blog pages show at most and you have set it as 8. I would suggest you change it to 6 and then check it again. Please have a look at the given screenshot below.

Thanks

Outstanding. Thanks for your assistance. We misunderstood how the Looper settings worked and thought they were an override for the Wordpress settings. Thanks for the clarification.

You are most welcome.
