Apart from using plugins to drag and drop post and pages into a custom order, is there another way of doing this without using plugins? or is there a recommended plugin that does both functions?
Hi,
You can try this third party plugin
Hope that helps.
I used the recommended plugin and I can arrange both page and post order successfully in the back end. However, it is not replicating on the front end. Any ideas?
Paul.
Hi there,
That might be the problem of cache plugin if you are using one. Kindly make sure that you purge all caches before doing so.
Also kindly change the theme of the website from our theme to something else and see if the plugin works ok. If the problem persists you need to follow up the case with the plugin developer.
Thank you.
Christopher, I am using WP Rocket. So I need to purge before or after I make these changes via drag and drop? Also is the SCP plugin compatible with Pro?
Paul.
Hi,
You need to purge the cache after you make the changes.
With regards to SCP plugin, we haven’t fully tested it with PRO, I tried it in my PRO test site and it seem’s to work without issues.
Thanks
So can you confirm that you changed the order of items in the backend and it correctly updated them on the front end? Can you perhaps login and take a look?
Paul.
Hi there,
I tried on my end too and seems to be okay, though, I’m not sure on your end. Would you mind providing the URL that has order issue?
Please disable all your cache especially the WP Rocket. With your question So I need to purge before or after I make these changes via drag and drop?
, the answer is yes because the cache is the opposite of change. Which is why it’s not recommended during development and must only use in production stage where you’re done with changes.
Thanks!
I have sorted this out, Thanks.
Paul.
Thanks for letting us know!
