It may be possible with global parameters already! If so, I’d love to understand how. I’m only just getting into all the functionality of parameters, and don’t have a complete understanding of the possibilities and limitations yet.
I’d love to be able to edit the unit list (pictured below) OR have a true neutral selection (open type field) that I could set as default, rather than selecting calc then deleting calc prior to making my customizations.
I did try entering a value I wanted to use in Dev Tools, which did render correctly, but was reflected as “px” in the sidebar panel. I haven’t had great luck with using Dev Tools as an override, any interaction with the sidebar in an overridden field tends to cause things to break.
With the availability of relative units like vi, vb, dvi and dvb, container units like cqmax and cqmin, and pre-established ones like ch, it’d be great to adjust the list in common fields to reflect most often used units as a global preference.
On a related note, if I wanted to pivot to using block and inline, start and end, not just in hand-coded styles but in Cornerstone’s output… is it possible to do so? Or I guess maybe do you have any plans to refactor to shift to this methodology? Long term it seems sensible since it better reflects different language directions.
All of this is non-urgent, but would definitely be both future-proofing and a quality of life enhancement imo.
