Portfolio with Category and Portfolio Post Name Permalinks

Hi there,
On my site, http://oneworldtrek.wpengine.com/, I’m having trouble getting the portfolio permalink to work as I would like and was wondering if you can help me.

For example, on this page - http://oneworldtrek.wpengine.com/worlds-top-trekking-regions/mount-everest-trekking-trips/ - which is where Mount Everest Trekking Trips live, when you click on a trip, you go to the trip page http://oneworldtrek.wpengine.com/trekking-trips/everest-base-camp-lodge-trek-nepal/ and the url has changed to the custom permalink trekking-trips/ but I would like those pages to show the primary category after trekking-trips i.e. trekking-trips/mount-everest-trekking-trips/everest-base-camp-lodge-trek-nepal/.

How could I achieve that?

Hey there,
Unfortunately that doesn’t help at all. I have the post urls set to /%category%/%postname%/ but I am referring to the Portfolio Categories and they aren’t being affected by this set up. The only place I can find is within Theme Options > Portfolio > CUSTOM URL SLUG which I have set to trekking-trips. How can I append Portfolio Category to this URL?

There is currently no settings in the theme to make it happen.

You can only achieve that with custom code or a plugin.
