Portfolio Second Page is archive layout

X- Pro Theme

I apologize up front if I have missed this topic covered in another post and thank you for redirection if this has already been answered. I have found several “close examples” here but nothing that has resolved my issue.

I am getting an archive page layout on subsequent pages after page 1. My original Portfolio page is configured correctly to the layout I would like, 3 columns 24 posts. The second pages are single column. The customer would like all pages to reflect the primary Portfolio page.

The slug appears to be correct, all portfolio items are displaying – we just need that first page layout to replicate throughout the pagination. I am sure this is a simple setting I am missing somewhere. Thx for your help.

Again, I apologize if the answer is here and I missed it. Thx!

Hi Bill,

I can see the issue on your second portfolio page. It is confirmed from the source code that the masonry layout that sets columns is not applied on second page. Can you try first to reset the columns? Edit the portfolio page under Portfolio Settings, please try to reset the columns. Choose 2 columns and save. Then try to put it back to 3 columns and then save again. Check the issue after this reset. If the issue persists, please try to update the theme. Latest version available is PRO 3.2.1. Let us know how this goes.

Ok, we are up to date on theme. I have switched the column config and saved several times in 1, 2,3 and 4 columns. Neither triggered the correct layout on the second page, nor did it correct the issue when I reverted to 3 columns.

Could this be the issue? I still have Cornerstone installed, it is not activated, but as I understand it not necessary at this version of the theme. Should I delete entirely and see if it resolves any conflicts or old infrastructure data?

Hello Bill,

The issue is caused by the page and portfolio item slug conflict.
Your Portfolio page should have the portfolio page slug like https://example.com/portfolio/.

The individual portfolio item slug should be https://www.tewdesignstudio.com/portfolio-item/the-portfolio-item-post.

To resolve this issue, please go to Pro > Theme Options > Portfolio > Custom URL Slug and set it to portfolio-item.

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

Thank you! This fixed the issue immediately.

Thanks again for your help Ruenel and Lely! Client happy – this item is resolved!

EBill
