Hello, How can I create a filterable portfolio page exactly like the demo here? https://demo.theme.co/agency/case-studies/
Next, for the CLASSIC RECENT POSTS element, what would I use to ensure that all the boxes have the same height?
THANK YOU!

Hi @ajrenk,
Thank you for reaching out to us. To create a portfolio page with the filterable portfolio, simply create a new page and assign it a Layout - Portfolio template under Page Attributes (see screenshot)

By default the filtering is enabled, however if you need to disable it then edit your portfolio page in WordPress page editor, scroll down to find Portfolio Settings:

Enable / Disable the filtering option as needed, you can also adjust other portfolio settings here:

Hope this helps!
It does! Thank you Nabeel!
You’re always welcome @ajrenk!

I added a Portfolio page with the portforlio page template and I still don’t have a filtering option. How can I change the layout of the portfolio items to show a short description underneath?

Thank you!
Hello @ajrenk,
I have checked your site and I found out that you are using Pro theme with a custom header. Please be advised that the portfolio filters were part of the landmark header that displays the Portfolio title. Since you are using the custom header, the landmark header were being replaced. To display the portfolio filter, you will need to duplicate your current and then assign this new duplicated header to the portfolio page. In this new header, you will add another bar and insert the portfolio filter shortcode: [x_portfolio_filters]

thank you! Stll having trouble with the portfolio set-up. I followed the set-up instructions here:
However, I am trying to get the archive page to look like your examples:
https://demo.theme.co/integrity-business/portfolio/
I don’t see a way to create the columns or masonry layouts. My page is not showing images either.
Here is a short video:
Hey @ajrenk,
All of your steps seems correct but I believe you’re not accessing the right page, try this: create a new page and name it “Insights”. Select the “Layout - Portfolio” page template and choose 3 columns with Fullwidth Layout:

Now for the filters since you’re using Pro, please follow Runel’s suggestion
To display the portfolio filter, you will need to duplicate your current and then assign this new duplicated header to the portfolio page. In this new header, you will add another bar and insert the portfolio filter shortcode:
[x_portfolio_filters]or you can checkout https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/integrity-portfolio-filtering/68708
Now visit the newly created Insights page and you should see the similar layout as our demo page except for the filters because now it will be the part of your header.
Let us know how this goes!
Thanks so much Nabeel. I did set-up the INSIGHTS page yesterday just like you explained, but it still doesn’t layout properly.
Hey @ajrenk,
The Insights page doesn’t work because it conflicts with the Portfolio Slug or Theme Options > Portfolio > Custom URL Slug.

The portfolio slug:
insights as the slug.portfolio-item so you might want it to be singular. After you changed the Portfolio Slug, you need to save your Permalinks again and then you should see the portfolio listing in your Insights page.
You can then follow what Nabeel mentioned about duplicating your header and adding the [x_portfolio_filters]. I’d like to add that the [x_portfolio_filters] does not include the title so you will have to replicate the design of the original header.
Hope that helps.
Thank you so much Christian. I made all your changes, but it still isn’t displaying. Looks like it is trying to do something.
I added the filtering to a new header. How do I make it display like the demos? They were horizontal buttons. Like this…
I looked at all the page slugs and only see one INSIGHTS
Thanks for all your help. I am really trying to figure this all out.
Hello, looks like the Portfolio items are now populating correctly. My last issue has to to with the filter. It’s just a + sign.
I’d like it to be a horizontal menu like the demo. Also, many of the categories are repeating.
Thank you in advance!
Hi @ajrenk,
The display for the portfolio filter is dependent on the stack that you are using. Your site is set to Renew stack that is why you are only seeing the + icon to reveal the filters.
If you want to have the portfolio filter display like the integrity stack filter, you will have to switch to the Integrity stack but please proceed with caution since some of the style on your site might change because of the active stack.
Another option would be to add some custom codes to be able to change the display of the filters. However, this goes beyond the scope of our support.
This is because you have several sub categories with the same name.
For example the AI Consulting category. You have an AI Consulting category that is a child of the Insight category and the Case Study category. Even if they share the same name, they are still technically different categories that is why the two of them are showing in the filter options.
Hope these explain it.
Thank you Christian! Is there a way to add a category tag to the shortcode to show only a main or subcategory in the filter box?
[x_portfolio_filters category=“case studies”]
Short video explains what I need to do with PORTFOLIO CATEGORIES…
Hello @ajrenk,
What you have in mind is not possible with the current portfolio filter n the portfolio page. I would highly recommend that you use either The Grid or Essential Grid plugin in displaying your portfolio items. This plugin offers a more advanced way of adding filters for the grid instead. You can get the plugin by going to Pro > Validation > Extensions. To know more about the plugin, please check this out:
The Grid
Essential Grid
Hope this makes sense.
