PORTFOLIO page template with PRO

Hi there,

First off, happy X-as and new year to the whole team!!!

Quick question. I’m thinking of creating a custom post type (portfolio) and a template built on PRO elements or shortcodes. Is this possible?

Here’s what I want to do:

  1. Create the frontend template with PRO
  2. Create custom meta fields / or use ACF Pro for different content.
  3. Set up say 20 of these pages, by simply adding new items and filling out the custom meta.

I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself well. So I know how to create page templates in a simple WP Theme, but have no clue as to how to create reusable elements in PRO. I know PRO - TEMPLATES, but creating each and every site, loading it, uploading the template… then adding the content manually… and redoing this twenty times… there must be an easier way. That’s why I think custom post types might be a better way to go, and importint information through a csv perhaps.

Thank you for the greetings.

This is technically possible though it would require custom development which is outside the scope of our theme support. Also, it’s best to wait for the Layout Builder feature which will enable users to build custom single and archive pages.

Sorry, but we can not provide a concrete date, It is a little early to speculate on an expected launch date, but we will know more after the first quarter of the year.
