Portfolio page only displaying one page of 24 portfolio items

The Portfolio page only displaying one page of 24 portfolio items. How can I show more portfolio items? https://vanpettengroup.com/portfolio

Hi There,

When I check that url, I have notice that it is a normal page showing recent post element and not page that is using Layout Portfolio templates that will list portfolio item automatically. Did you change your mind and design it that way? Please clarify.

Hi Lely,
It is not a normal page. The items showing up are added within the Portfolio posts and lists portfolio items automatically.

Please let me know how can I have more than 24 portfolio items show up on the Portfolio page?

Hey Lindsay,

You’re using Recent Post elements to display your portfolio. If you want to continue with that setup, you need to setup several Recent Post elements and use the Offset option to skip post display. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/shortcodes-recent-posts/173 for more details.

If you want to setup your Portfolio automatically, please use the Portfolio page template. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/features-portfolios/98 for more details.

This solves our issue, thank you!

You’re welcome!

Hi Guys,

I am having an issue with sorting and pagination. I have several categories but if I choose ABS (one of the categories under sort videos) for example, and I have to go to the second page when it reloads it shows ALL again and I have to pick ABS again. So it doesn’t feel user friendly. Any help would be so appreciated :sunny:

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! By default, the portfolio page will load 24 items regardless of the category. You can filter out the items by category using the button. However, there is only 1 item or no item loaded in the click category, it does not load other items which is not present on the page. You will have to go page 2 and another batch of items is loaded again.

One thing to understand is that the purpose of this button is only to sort portfolio items by category loaded within the page.

Hope this explains it briefly.

Thank you RueNel, I guess I have to get creative with this

You’re welcome. I’m sorry it doesn’t do what you need out of the box, but hopefully you’ll be able to figure something out.
