Portfolio page is different layout before/after login to admin

The site has a portfolio landing page created in Cornerstone. I removed and updated sections in the cornerstone, I see the updated in the front when I login to the admin dashboard. After I login out, clear cache and test/view in different browsers, or in incognito are showing the old layout and the icon are missing. I don’t know how to solve this problem, please help.

Thanks for writing in! It seems that you are using an older version of the theme. Please have it updated. Our latest version are:

• X theme 9.1.4
• Cornerstone 6.1.4
• PHP 7.4
• WP 5.9

After the updates, please make sure that all your plugin caches are cleared before testing the site again. If the issues persists, please troubleshoot the most common issues that may have cause it:

• Testing For Theme Related Issue
• Testing For Plugin Conflict
• Theme Update
• Child Theme
• Disabling Cache
• Disabling Cdn

By the way, we cannot check your site because the given credentials is not working for us. The password is incorrect. Please double-check it.

All are updated to the latest theme. The problem is not solved.

  I did disable plugins to see if there are any plugin conflict. I don’t use CloudFlare. I also clear style cache.
  I change the page title to Projects but the front is show portfolio. I can see the change only login to admin.

Do you have any suggestion?

Hi Weiling,

I have checked your website and found that you are still using the older version of the X i.e. 7.2.3 and the Cornerstone version i.e. 4.2.3. I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server and update the X and the Cornerstone by following steps and check if that resolves your issue.

1. Delete the Cornerstone
2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version.

And check once by clearing all types of cache including the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your staging site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

NOTE: Given credentials for your live site are not working.

I installed plugin “WP Fastest Cache” and clear cache. The good news is I can see the portfolio/project page updated.

As I state, the site is all updated to the latest. I don’t know where did you see the site useing the old version?

I have checked your page without logging in and now, I am seeing the latest one.

The issue could just be a cache. Your server or the browser cache is causing it. Please let us know when it happens again.
