never mind… cornerstone just needed to be updated!

Same problem here but no cornerstone update to apply. I see in the changelog that portfolio moved to cornerstone. Why is it suddenly moved and no longer working on a live site? I tried clearing cache and everything is up to date.

Perhaps you changed your portfolio permalinks in Theme Options? If you do that, you must go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and re-save it (or just visit it) to make sure the new permalink will be applied for portfolio items.
Or are you referring to missing portfolio items in index page?
