Portfolio option has disappeared from backend of site, and portfolio pages are throwing 404's

The portfolio previews are still showing on the press page: https://simpliengage.com/press/ but when you click on one the link is broken.

In the screenshot, you can see Portfolio has disappeared from the left-hand menu. My site is fully updated with the latest version of both the theme and Cornerstone. I tried deleting the cache, and checked the x theme folder name in the FTP (based on another forum post), neither worked.

The reason why the portfolio option has disappeared in your back-end because of the compatibility issue of X and cornerstone plugin. Currently, you have an old X theme version 8.0.10 and you have the latest version of Cornerstone which is 5.1.5 and they are not compatible with each other. First, I suggest that you deactivate and uninstall your cornerstone plugin to avoid any conflict when upgrading your X theme. Second, upgrade your X theme to the latest version and the last thing you should do is install the cornerstone plugin again.

That worked, thanks for the help. I have X set to automatic updates, do you know why it wouldn’t have done that itself?

Spoke too soon. The portfolio option has reappeared in the dashboard, but Portfolios are still showing error pages.

Nevermind, I got it fixed. I updated the Portfolio slug in the Theme Options and that fixed it.

I’ve got the same problem like described above. Before I start deleting the Cornerstone plugin, though, I was wondering how to get it back or re-install it? Would be glad if you could hint me into the right direction .

Thanks for writing to us.

In case if you are using the X theme you can click on the Plugins —>Find the Cornerstone plugin—>Click on the Deactivate and delete the plugin. After deleting the plugin you would get and notification to get install the Cornerstone plugin. Please have a look at the screenshot given below.
