After updating to the new wordpress, we no longer see Portfolio in the dashboard. Checked and saw that Jetpack Plugin was removed. We re-installed and updated, enabled the use of portfolios but now we are unable to get those items to show in our portfolio page. I checked site links and saved those to update to no avail. Any idea on how we can “rebuild” the portfolio and testimonials feature of our theme?

I have checked your portfolio page and I can see there’s 2 portfolio item there: Test Project and Test 2.

If you click on those portfolio items you’ll see they do not load. This is because on our backend the portfolio link in the dashboard disappeared. I reinstalled Jetpack and enabled portfolio and testimonials. The portfolio dashboard link re-appeared but the items in that portfolio are not the same that you see on that page. I can’t find the same ones listed on the page you viewed.

Unfortunately, password is incorrect. Please double check. I can’t confirm the issue since I can’t see what is in the admin. The content of portfolio test-2 is loading. I might need to see what is in your admin to understand what is happening.

I am able to see the issue. I think it is a conflict with Jetpack. On the admin what you see on the left Panel is Portfolio post type with Jetpack. Jetpack portfolio overrides the portfolio link of the theme.
Try disabling it on Settings > Writing:
On the admin it is showing a different portfolio post type not the one you created with the theme. On the frontend you are seeing the once created with the theme. Check again after that.
thanks. I turned that off but then now i do not see a place to edit or create the portfolio items? There is no post type seen in the posts. Where would I go to edit this? The option for portfolio goes away from the sidebar in Admin when i uncheck those boxes.

This could be a result of renaming the X folder. Please login to your server rename the X folder to the original x.
If that doesn’t help, please give us FTP access as well.

Thanks. This worked. Not sure why that was renamed to BK maybe one of our techs did troubleshooting another issue.
