Portfolio Items display incorrect header - how to change?

I’ve changed the header for my site to use my own logo and nav menu. However, when I open a portfolio item, instead of my site-wide header, I’m been served the demo content header. The nav menu style also looks different from what I’m using across the rest of the site, so I’m not sure how that is changing either. I cannot find anywhere to change the logo that’s been displayed - there’s no headers in the headers section other than my own.

Incidentally, the “NEWS” section of the them also uses the demo header, including silvertooth logo and the slightly different styling of the nav menu. However, I don’t have a “News” item under “Content” to edit. There is an editable page in the default wordpress dashboard, but I can’t figure out how to change that page so it shows the correct header, nor can I find where to edit things on it like the “View Post” slides at the top etc.

Hello Chris,

Thanks for writing in! You have a caching issue. Since you have installed a caching plugin WP Super Cache, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.

By the way, X 7.1.2 and Cornerstone 4.1.2 is now available in automatic updates! This release contains fixes for several issues, like you have mentioned above, so be sure to check out the changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/). Please do update to the latest version.

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Thanks for the reply. However, it doesn’t appear to be a caching issue. I have tried to clear cache multiple times, and have even tried deactivating the Super Cache plugin, but the portfolio pages continue to use the old logo.

Hey Chris,

Make sure your header is Global. You can do this by going to Header Builder, select your header and click on Make Global button (see screenshot)

If your settings are correct then please get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

In the mean time please update your Pro theme to the latest version i.e 3.1.2 to avoid potential errors and conflicts. Thanks!
