Portfolio Item in X Theme not displaying for single portfolio category

On my recently designed site: https://specialtystonework.com/ for a client, you’ll note in the Portfolio page, the Fireplaces Portfolio category is not bringing up any portfolio items. But, I do have several selected as category Portfolio. What do I need to do to make sure sorting is working correctly?

This is happening specifically for the Fireplaces category item in the Portfolio: https://specialtystonework.com/portfolio/

The filtering only works on the current page where it’s present, example, go to the second page https://specialtystonework.com/portfolio/page/2/ and click the Fireplaces category and it will display the items. Unfortunately, what you’re trying to achieve is only achievable through the mix of ajax pagination and filters which currently not possible on portfolio masonry. For that, I recommend using the bundled plugins like Essential Grid or The Grid, it offers ajax pagination with filters. @Rad, this worked perfectly fine in previous applications of the portfolio. Is there any plan to make this Portfolio filter more robust? In the meantime, I’ll work on redesigning using Essential Grid.

As of now, there is no upcoming modifications to the portfolio and the portfolio filter. The portfolio filter was designed specifically for the portfolio page. It does not load any portfolio items. It merely filters any items that is being loaded in the current page.
