Portfolio gallery loads extremely slowly with large images, does not use thumbnails

Please help, lost the custom CSS that fixed this issue with the recent update to X.

To be clear, pages set to style ‘portfolio’ are loading full-size images (taking many seconds for a gallery with dozen+ large images to load) instead of true or ‘intelligent’ thumbnails. Previous support provided a CSS snippet that swapped portfolio to load true thumbnails instead and that had solved it, however custom CSS was apparently cleared upon theme update.

Hi, this site is hosted on WPengine already, thank you. The issue here is that the gallery is loading full-size images (which due to quality issues we would prefer not to re-optimize), instead of thumbnails. We could address this in CSS prior, please advise.

Maybe it’s just your connection? It loads fast on my end, plus, CSS should have no effect on the loading speed of any image. What was the CSS that’s added?

Though yes, I can see that the image being loaded are big, would you mind providing your admin login credentials in a secure note? I like to see your settings first.
