In my portfolio item settings, I have Gallery selected for Media Type, but no where does it allow me to upload images to the post or see what images I have uploaded in the past. The Featured Image window is there and that is working, but I don’t see where my Gallery images are or where they are selected. Please help.

That link doesn’t do anything to tell you how the Portfolio Gallery works, it’s been a mystery to me since day one, and I have completely avoided using it because of this, but not I need to use it because a client is requesting it. Your Portfolio page states “If selecting a “Gallery,” simply upload your images to this post and organize them in the order you want them to display.” Please tell me where I can see what images are in the gallery and where I can order them, because I cannot find it anywhere, and some images I upload do not show up and the order is way off.

Sorry for the confusions, as stated in the documentation, upload the images while you’re on the post (creating/editing).
Filter the Media Library to “Uploaded to this post”
You’ll see all the images that are attached/uploaded to your post, and then you can re-arrange it (by dragging).
Based on those images the Gallery format post will automatically create a slider on the front-end.
