Pop-up image without CTA

I would like to create a pop-up as soon as a user lands on my site. It’s just an image flyer that I want to show, I don’t want a CTA. It seems like convertplus isn’t capable of this. Am I missing something? Do you have a recommendation?
Thank you

Hi Denaj,

It is possible with convertplus. You can start as blank or use a template. See this guide. You can edit existing template content. Let’s say we use the Blank template.

You may add the background on this settings:

Make sure to reduce background color opacity so you can see the image background behind it.
Then set modal height here:

On the actual modal editor preview, you can delete the text content.

On the Close Link Tab, you can choose the best course of action to close it:
Modal_Popup_Designer_‹Pro_7—_WordPress (3)
There is an option for auto close after X seconds.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. that worked. Now it seems as if I can’t get it to display properly on both mobile and desktop. When I adjust for one the other gets cut off. Is there a way to get the modal to respond dynamically to screen sizes?

Hey Denaj,

I just tested a ConvertPlus Modal in my site and it’s responsive. It scales up and down as I resize the browser window.

Would you mind giving us access to your site so we could take a look at your setup and replicate it on our end to see if there’s an issue with ConvertPlus? Please give us the following info.

  • Name of the modal
  • URL where the modal was set to popup if not global
  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

Post those in a Secure Note.

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Hello Denaj,

Regretfully we cannot check your site because the credentials do not work for us. You have forgotten to send in the username. Anyways, I can see why you are having some issues on smaller screens. It is because you have added a background image and it is set to cover the entire modal popup. Please edit your modal popup and change the background size from cover to “Contain”.

I would like you to try this demo here: https://davidwalsh.name/demo/background-size.html which would explain how background image works.

We use the background-image: cover; which would cover the whole area of the container. This is responsive enough which will always covers the whole area. The only thing to consider here is that if your image size is smaller, it will be stretch out and if you have a bigger image, it will get cut off.

Or we can also use background-size: contain; This is a good choice for you modal because you will see the whole image no matter what, in all screen sizes.

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

Sorry about the credentials, but That was very helpful. I think it solved my issue.

We are delighted to assist you with this.

Cheers!
