Polylang X-Theme Compability - Response from Polylang support

Hi guys,

I had some communicating before regarding the Polylang Integration here:

There were some problems with ajax requests.

I wrote to the Polylang guys and they told me this:

I am still experiencing the same problem and need to disable Polylang to be able to work with Cornerstone. For the moment that is alright as my website is not fully ready for the public, but I cannot just disable the plugin all the time to edit a page once the site is live.

Any suggestions?

Kind regards,
Julian

Hi Julian,

Our apologies for the inconvenience. I have checked and this issue was already taken note of and was added to our issue tracker.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide an ETA when this will be covered for a release update but rest assured that this is already in our issue tracker so that our developers will be aware of it.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Jade,

And thanks for the reply! We’re looking to release our website and product in about a month. Do you think the issue would be resolved till then?

If not I saw that X-Theme supports WPML as a translation plugin.

Would that be a solution to our problems if Polylang cannot be fixed on time?
How difficult do you think it would be to migrate all our translated pages and functionality from Polylang to WPML?
Is there a guide or something that you can recommend?

Kind regards,
Julian

Hey There,

WPML has an official article about the Polylang to WPML migration which you can find here. We can’t give you a recommendation on which system to use but WPML is officially supported meaning that if you are facing issues you can receive support from us which might be an advantage in the future.
