Polylang and Pro theme

Hi,
I’m using Pro Theme for quite some time now and have been looking into creating multi-language site. I basically only need simple features to link pages and posts with each other in different languages and provide a language switcher at the header. I don’t need auto-translate or anything like that as I’m creating the pages and posts in different languages myself.
When I looked at potential solutions, polylang and wpml seemed to be the most convincing ones, though given that I have to pay for WPML to even get only the basic features, I’d like to use polylang.
Is there any plan to enable polylang in pro theme? If so, is there a rough ETA? When do you plan to integrate this plugin to ProTheme in a compatible way?

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we do not have an ETA for the integration or the theme support of Polylang plugin. It is added in our features request already. Meanwhile, please check out other method in translating your site by checking out this documentation:

Thanks @ruenel, unfortunately the solution described in the link you’ve provide doesn’t address my challenge. That link talks about translating the theme. I’m basically trying to find an easy and preferably free solution to add language switcher to my blog site.

Hello @eng1ns,

You can use the Widget Area element in your page or custom layout and go to Appearance > Widgets where you can add the Polylang language switcher widget.
