Plugin updates fail after updating to 4.3.3 and site crashed (Critical error)

Updating to 4.3.3 resolved some plugin-related issues but now I cannot update plugins without the site crashing. Woocommerce plugin update failed and caused a critical error. I was able to restore the site from a backup.

Hi Pam,

Thanks for reaching out.
It might be the PHP version is one of the reasons behind your issue, I would suggest you check https://compass2819.org/wp-admin/site-health.php for the version and please ask your Hosting Service provider to update it. If that is not the case and the PHP version is already up to date, I would suggest you troubleshoot the following common issues to recognize the reason behind your issue.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.CSS/JS Customization

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
We would also like to know if that issue still exists with the default theme like TwentyTwenty activated. If that does not exist, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks
