Plugin Conflicts With WooCommerce 5.3.0

Hi,

We updated to WooCommerce 5.3.0 and it resulted in two of our plugins (for invoice printing and shipping options) not working. We have found, after talking with the plugin developers, that Cornerstone is causing the issue (and a total of 17 errors in the browser console on the Woo Commerce orders page). If we disable Cornerstone then the plugins work properly again, but then we get the message that X theme requires Cornerstone to be active. Please could you advise how we can resolve this? Thank you.

Hi James,

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that the plugins are WooCommerce addons and break when the WooCommerce updated to the latest version. The X theme is compatible with WooCommerce but it doesn’t mean that it is compatible with all WooCommerce addons. They are not tested with our themes.
Therefore, we can’t guarantee a fix but we’ll be interested to know why our theme is causing such issues you described if proven. I would suggest you troubleshoot by re-installing the Cornerstone once again by following the below steps.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone
  2. After deletion please use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone.

If that does not resolve the issue, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Thanks. I tried deleting and reinstalling Cornerstone but that did not help so I’ve set up a staging server, which I’ll send you the details of. If you could take a look please that would be much appreciated.

Hi James,

I have checked your Order page and found that the mentioned issues are still coming even if the default theme like Twenty Twenty is active.

There might be some different reasons behind your issue, I would like to suggest troubleshoot the Plugin Conflict issue to help us to recognize the reason.

If that does not resolve your issue, I would suggest you check our version compatibility page for the supported versions of WordPress. If your site WordPress version is not in our supported version list, I would suggest you downgrade the WordPress version of your website to the supported one. To downgrade the WordPress version you can get help from here: https://soliloquywp.com/how-to-downgrade-wordpress-to-an-older-version/

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thanks. I followed the plugin conflict guide and found that the only two plugins that cause the problem are Cornerstone and Contact Form 7. If either one is deactivated the problem is resolved but both cannot be active at the same time. Rolling back Contact Form 7 to previous versions does not resolve the issue, it has to be completely deactivated.

Hi James,

Glad that we are able to help you find the issue, I would suggest you contact the problematic plugin author on this.

Thanks
