Plugin Conflict with Cornerstone - Redirection Plugins do not Work

Hello,

I need to redirect a couple specific URLs / Pages to other pages on my site; however whatever plugin I try using for this breaks Cornerstone’s built-in preview system.

I’ve tried a couple plugins and with every plugin I’ve tried, I get:
The preview could not load due to the iframe response being incomplete. This is most often related to a plugin conflict, or customizations introducing a PHP error.

I’ve tried using:

I know disabling these plugins fixes Cornerstone, but I need at one of these plugins. These are some of the most popular / used plugins on Wordpress so there needs to be a solution to make the two play together.

Thank you,
Clovis

Hey Clovis,

Like other popular builders, Cornerstone is URL based so if you redirect a page, the preview won’t work. Please edit the new page and not the original page you’ve now redirected.

Thanks.

So for anyone finding this thread, and looking for guidance:

I had my home page redirect to a different page (from website.com/ to website.com/custom-page), this breaks cornerstone which just loads over the root URL (website.com/). Its a pretty bad limitation, as I assume running cornerstone from its own URL like website.com/cornerstone-editor could solve this wouldn’t actually causing any issues to its functionality.

tl;dr, I set my home page / landing page to use an HTML refresh to redirect, rather than a 3rd party extension and it fixed my Cornerstone issue.

Hi Clovis,

Glad to know that the problem is solved now.

Thanks
