PHP7.4 not recognized by wordpress on x-theme

Hi guys

What do i need to change in x-theme to be able to update my wordpress site to PHP7.4?
I noticed that .htaccess forces php 7.1 or so it seems, where do i change the php level in x-theme

Hi @carelballack,

Thanks for reaching out.
The updated version of X is already compatible with the PHP version 7.4. Please let us know if you are getting any specific issues while updating the PHP version or updating the X to the latest version.

Thanks

On Cpanel it is set to 7.4, but on the wordpress dashboard it shows version 7.1
Is it possible that the htaccess forces the wrong version?

AddHandler application/x-httpd-alt-php71___lsphp .php .php7 .phtml

i dont have any issues with the change in php. It is just that wordpress keeps on showing that 7.4 is not active when it is in fact running but not recognised in wordpress. It seems to be forced in some way by X-Theme? Could this be possible?

Hello @carelballack,

You can contact your hosting provider to update PHP 7.4 version. You may check out this article to learn more about the hosting requirements for WordPress.

Hope it helps
Thanks

I have 7.4 running. Have you been following the post. 7.4 is running. The problem is not with the change in PHP.
The problem is that wordpress does not recognise the change, The question was whether x-theme forces the use of a different version and or whether i should be changing or editing any strings in htaccess or anywhere else

please see attachment. 7.4 is up and running

and then meanwhile; in wordpress . . . .

Hello @carelballack,

It seems that it is a server-related issue. To check whether this issue coming from the X theme or not you can simply deactivate the X theme and activate the WordPress default theme and then check in your dashboard which PHP version is showing in the dashboard.

Hope it helps
Thanks
