PHP 7.3 Revolution Slider and UberMenu3

Hi there - We are in the process of checking our website to determine whether it can run PHP 7.3.

We’ve setup a copy of the live site on our sandbox and updated to 7.3. The site appears to function normally. Then we ran WPengine PHP compatibility checker and it indicated a few plugins “might” have an issue with PHP 7.3

Two of these plugins are

  1. Slider revolution
  2. Uber Menu

Researching each of these plugins we see

  1. We are using Slider Revolution version 5.4.8.3. It comes bundled with Theme X. Checking the Slider revolution website, we see that they do not provide support for bundled products. We then checked the Silder Revolution change log and it does not even list 5.4.8.3, see https://www.themepunch.com/slider-revolution/changelog/. Within the APEX forum there is post indicating 5.4.8.3 is the latest tested version of Slider Revolution with Themex.

Do you know whether Slider Revolution 5.4.8.3 supports PHP 7.3?

  1. The situation is similar for UberMenu3. We are using version 3.6.0.1 and it comes bundled with ThemeX. Checking the changelog, they only mentioned Php 7.2 https://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-3/updates/php-version

Do you know whether UberMenu3 version 3.6.0.1 supports PHP 7.3?

Thanks
Tim

Hey Tim,

Regretfully, we don’t have official support for PHP 7.3. This doesn’t mean those plugins won’t work with PHP 7.3 though so the best thing to do is to test those plugins in a staging server that uses PHP 7.3 then you can report to us if there are issues specifically in the said PHP version and a plugin functionality and we’ll report it to the plugin author.

Thanks.

@christian_y - Thanks for that information. We’ll do more testing. If there are any issues we will report them.

One more question. The latest version of Cornerstone and Theme X work with PHP 7.3, correct?

Thanks
Tim

Hey Tim,

Yes, X should work with PHP 7.3.

Hope this helps.

Thanks @Jade
