Performance: Lazy Load Video Poster Images

Hej there,

I am trying to optimize the loading of our website:

For the images of the 8 sliders, I use the lazy load technique.
But I have 8 video elements with poster images and can’t figure out how to add lazy load or async decoding on it.

I know it’s far beyond normal support, but this solution is interesting for others as well?

In order to improve the website speed performance. Please note website performance depends upon many factors for example.

  1. Choose a better web hosting provider
  2. Reduce image sizes
  3. Minify JS and CSS files
  4. Use advanced caching mechanisms with a caching plugin
  5. Use a CDN
  6. Clean up WordPress database etc.
