Pdf element or how to modify pdf with Theme X

I need to insert a pdf element in my posts so that when people read the post they can access to it and modify-sign the pdf.
How can I do this ?
If I need to download a plugin which one is most compliant with the latest wp, theme x and cornerstone releases ?

Yes I wish to emped PDF files into my posts.
I had checked out this discussion (https://theme.co/archive/forums/topic/how-do-i-embed-pdf-in-post-w-x/) in the archives of the forum, but the plugin recommended in 2014 may not be the best one today.

I need to know which plugin you recommend today for theme X & Cornerstone latest versions.

And I went through the tutorial you sent me and followed it step by step. It does not work, this is what I get on the frontend instead of the pdf:

Unfortunately, we don’t recommend any 3rd Party plugins. If you have used the plugin mentioned in the given article, you can contact the Plugin Author on this. And before that, please deactivate the WP Optimize plugin or any cache plugin and check if that resolves your issue.
