Password protect main blog page

Hi,

I would like to password protect my main blog page. I’ve set a password in the page settings but the content is stil visible.

The blog archive page has a custom layout made in de Layout builder.

The given URL is not accessible, it shows the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error. I would suggest you check and let us know once it is accessible.

Hey @Timmid,

The Blog Page cannot be password protected in WordPress out of the box. You need to find a 3rd party plugin to achieve that.

This is not an issue with the Layout of Pro as once you make a page the blog page, the page settings no longer apply to it. This is just how it works in WordPress.

Since this is not a theme issue, this is the furthest we can help.

Thx for the help. That’s a shame.

Solved it by putting a normal page in front with a password en there linking to the blog page.
