Parallax query - thinking outside the box!

Hey Pro People!

No site in particular here that I need help on - just an enquiry (I’m about 20 licences deep and growing)

I’m pretty sure I can create a parallax effect like the one shown here using slider revolution but just wondering if there was a way that I could do it through Pro as standard.

I know two layers ios the normal for Pro understandably but just wondering if there’s anything I can do so I can avoid using the slider and it’s poor load time?

What say you? Just looking for advice for a future project which will mean another 7 Pro licences coming your way if this can be achieved as light as possible?

Hello @j300bac,

Available parallax effect on PRO at the moment are for section background only. We can only achieve that effect yes with slider revolution or other light weight plugins.

For now, I have added this as feature request. This might be a good idea as an element. We cannot promise this can be implemented but ithis will be discuss by the developers. We do appreciate the love for the theme. Thank you.

And no worries - been with Pro back when it was X right from the start and I was just starting out myself

Hi @j300bac,

Thanks for reaching out. I wanted to confirm that I don’t think is something that would go on our near term roadmap. It’s definitely a really awesome effect, but I think other plugins can execute on the idea pretty well and it would be complicated to add as a code theme feature.

Something we may do is offer a custom code background feature. This would allow you to put code snippets into the background div of sections - that would help get closer to this idea natively.

I have achieved this effect fully with Slider Revolution but just thinking down the line in the interest of optimisation. I try my hardest to not use slider rev anymore as it’s simply just too heavy no matter how much you optimise the images.

Custom code BG feature with some snippets sounds awesome though for sure!!
