Paragraphs in WP Backery Post Grid (Post preview)

Hi,

I created a template in WPBackery Grid Builder for displaying posts on the homepage. The Posts are created with WPBackery.

Unfortunately, paragraphs are removed from the post preview. See the example with the heading H1. What do I have to set so that paragraphs are retained in the post preview?

Thank you and Greetings!

Hello, I’ll check that with the customer. How long can I leave the ticket open? Many Thanks!

Hi Sebastian,

Usually, the ticket closed after 10 days automatically. I would request to open a new ticket if that happens.

Thanks

Hi @tristup, thank you for your information. Please check the note above.

Hello @PixelBuddy,

I checked your site, I went ahead and checked your Grid builder. It seems that you have set H4 for the post title and for the post excerpt you have set the DIV. Please have a look at the screenshot below.

Hi @prakash_s,

thank you for your answer. But the problem is not the post title.
Please take a look to my post above (with the screenshots).

The problem is, the headings in the posts in the preview don’t have a paragraph.

How can we fix it?

Thank you and greetings!

Hello Bastian,

The Post Grid item displays the post title and the post excerpt.

The Post title is wrapped with the H4 element as shown in the screenshot above. The post except were wrapped with the DIV as what you have indicated in your Post Excerpt Settings. Be advised that Post Excerpts were taken from the very first few words of your post contents. Any HTML characters such as the <p> will be strip off. The Post Excerpts will only return plain text. It is best that you limit the number of words to be displayed in your post excerpts. You may have an option in the Post Excerpt Settings.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi @ruenel,

thank you for your answer.

I understand, that the Post Grid item displays the post title (its all fine with this) and the post excerpt (HTML tags are deleted here).

Is it possible that HTML tags (such as paragraphs after headings or paragraphs in the text) are retained in the post preview when using the Post Grid?

Thank you and greetings!

Hi Sebastian,

The WordPress generates plain text when displaying excerpt, and removes all shortcodes and HTML tags within it. Even if the content is having the paragraph within it, it will be removed while generating the excerpt from it. And regretfully there is no such option to add any tag within the excerpt.

Thanks for understanding.
