hi there,
i have the same question and want to add that usually when i use the “enter” key to generate line breaks in the html editor they will translate/show in the rich text editor. that is a logical and convenient way to do it. but now you suggest i type in tags for that?
i paste in my text always first in the html editor since then all the unneccesary code is being striped away and then switch to the rich text editor. that is not possible anymore. is “insert as text” in the rich text editor do really the same?
thanks! kai
ps: i always search first in the forum if my problem has been answered already. if i still have a question i usually have to open an new topic since the old one (13d in this case) has been closed already. could you keep the topics open for a longer period of time? thanks!
Hi,
Please make sure you are in Rich text mode when adding your paragraphs.

If you are in HTML Mode , you need to add the paragraphs manually.

Thanks
yes. thanks. i figured that out as i wrote. but i don’t find it very useful. i was trying to say that i like to paste my text into the html editor first (as i used to) before formatting it in the rich text editor. but if i do this in pro all the line breaks are being removed (text looks like one long paragraph). when i add line breaks now in html mode (not manually like you suggest) but with the enter key they are being removed again when switching to the rich text editor. so i am forced to paste my text first into the rich text editor which usually does funny stuff to text coming from word e.g.
i just hope you will change that behaviour again. thanks! kai
Thanks for your feedback. But enter won´t work on the code editor, you will need to add the break tags manually.
Hope it helps

Hi Kai,
You need to paste the text in Rich text mode and format the text from there.
We are still using wordpress default html and rich text editor, we really didn’t change anything in terms of formatting the content. You can try that in wordpress default editor and it will do the same thing.
Thanks
