I am trying to implement pagination on X Pro to that I can split up blog posts into multiple pages. I tried using the <!–nextpage–> code but that did not work.

The default blog page has the pagination itself so you don’t have to add the custom code.
Just create a new blog page then navigate to the Settings > set the posts page:
