Pagination For Posts Element

Hi, I’m using the posts element on my homepage showing my 6 most recent posts. I want to add pagination so visitors can see earlier posts by I couldn’t get post pagination to work.

I then read that Layout Builder is required to do pagination, but I don’t have Layout Builder in my navigation menu.

Is this possible to add pagination without using Layout Builder? If so, how would I do it?

Hello Oliver,

Thanks for writing in! No, you can’t. The pagination only works on archive pages. When using the Posts elements, you cannot add pagination to it. If you want, you can combine the Slider element, create 3 slides in it and insert the Posts element in each of the slide. You may need to add an offset to the second and third Posts elements so that the post items will not be repeating. And for the pagination, you can use a custom button (1,2,3) that will display the respective slides which in turn displays the corresponding post items.

Hope this makes sense.

Ok. Thanks!

You are most welcome Oliver.
