Pagination and SEO

I can’t find any updated info on pagination in regards to seo. We have a client that has roughly 9 pagination pages and when we run it through our seo tools it says that we have duplicate meta title and meta descriptions stemming from the pagination pages. Is there a way to fix? we use yoast for seo. Everything I find is a year or older on this topic.

Thanks for the advise but the only way that I find that works is to change the number of posts per page that gets rid of the pagination but it causes the page to slow down significantly

Hi @Mobloggy,

You don’t need to do that, I’m no expert in SEO but it seems YOAST is saying here (read the last section) that it is fine to ignore that warning in the context of pagination.
