Pages won't save!

Hi, my pages won’t save! I just did a ton of work and it won’t save! I deactivated most plugin, and it still won’t save!

I’m building in a staging environment with Flywheel. They have told me that there were cors issues with the site and that they were fixed, but I still can not save my work. Now they are telling me that this project, which is 90% done, should not have been built in staging and that I have to take it all local. It’s been fine in staging until cors issues.

I can’t access the page builder either.

Please help.

Hello @Jeannie,

I have logged in and edited your “About Us” page. I tried adding a new section. I was able to save it.

You should see the very first section indicated by “Added by X Staff” name. You may delete the section when you see it. This illustrates that you have inserted a broken code in the page that does not allow you to save your changes. Which page is that by the way? We are curious to see that page and find out which might have caused the issue.

If I access it in another window, you can’t see the work I have done. I added another section, but it still won’t save.

Hello @Jeannie,

I have logged in and have done the same thing in the mentioned page. I was able to change my changes.

I would recommend that you log out from the page and of WordPress. Clear your browser cache and log in again.

You may delete the section I added after you log in. I just left it there as proof that my changes were saved as I was testing your site on my browser.

If I log out I’m going to lose my changes!

Hello @Jeannie,

Since you cannot log out, please go to the Layouts tab and save the page as a template. This way, we can create a new test page, load your saved template and you can log out. All your work should be saved in the template. If you still cannot save the page as a template, you must have added a broken code which is prevented you from saving the page.

Yes that did not work. Any new suggestions? Now I have another page that won’t save.

The Cornerstone saves fine on our end, did you leave your worked (tab) over a period of time (i.e. overnight?) without saving?

Your sessions might have already invalidated when you get back to your Cornerstone (work) that is why it is not saving anymore when you try to save it. This might be caused by several reasons which can vary from; your site goes down for a moment, a 3rd party plugin conflicts to services like Cloudflare which minify the assets of the Cornerstone, an update happen to your server that affects your session, your site might have down for a moment, you might have automatically logged out on your Wordpress session, could it be a browser setting. A lot of unexpected things happen overnight and we could not account for every possible situation so it’s very important to always save your work.

I’m sorry but there is nothing we can do about it, but to recreate what you’ve done, and don’t leave it unsaved anymore.

I’m having similar problems. Latest version of Pro brings up the same red Uh Oh! I disabled all plugins, cleared caches etc no changes. Rolled back to previous version of Pro and now I get the green save bar going 99% of the way but it doesn’t complete.

I’ve tried the above steps.
