Pages break when updating to the latest version of Cornerstone

Hi there

We’ve found that when updating Cornerstone to 3.3x nothing on our home page loads past a certain point.

Have you guys had any similar issues with other users? This seems to be happening after a shortcode that gets loaded 4 times on the same page with different attributes. Once the first part shortcode is loaded, everything afterwards stops loading.

Hey @danareeves,

The latest version of Cornerstone is 3.0.4. Please ensure X is up to date and try deleting Cornerstone from your plugins and reinstall it again via X > Validation.

Also, what shortcode are you referring to? And, please give us the URL of your site so we could see the issue in case reinstalling Cornerstone does not solve the issue.

Hey there

When using version 3.0.4 we experience the same issue. Uninstalling/reinstalling unfortunately doesn’t help.

Unfortunately I cannot leave the site broken for you to take a look though either as it affects the home page of a live site.

The shortcode comes from a few lines of custom code. This shortcode is however used 4 times on the same page though. Could this affect it at all? The same shortcode that’s giving an issue now has been used on 6 other sites however we haven’t had any issues on any of the others.

If you’re referring to a X theme/ Cornerstone shortcode, it should work even though you’re repeating it.

If you can post the shortcode here, we can test it on our end as well.

Also please provide us with the URL to your broken page, so that we can check.
