Page Template capability for Post or CPT

Hello there,

On one of my older website, I have the option to select “page templates” for my posts and Custom Post Types which is great. The feature came after a PRO theme update about a year ago. Now that I am working on a new website, I cannot, for the life of me, enable the page templates options for Post or CPT.

Like my older website, I would love to take advantage of the page template options for POSTS.

Hi Ben,

Thank you for writing in, you need to define // Template Post Type: post, page on the template that you need to be available on the posts.

See the templates (template-blank-#) on the parent Theme folder, copy the template that you need, paste it to your child theme’s root directory. Open/Edit that template and insert // Template Post Type: post, page under line 4.

Here’s a better suggestion, since you’re using PRO, you have access to the Layout Builder feature, use that to create your custom Single Posts page template.
