Page Preview Before Edit

Hey guys, as much as I love all the new tools and abilities the one thing I miss is being able to see previews of a page before I click the edit button.

This is especially frustrating when taking over a site from another developer who has crazy naming conventions, or random pages that aren’t published, or in draft form etc. Is there anyway to show a preview before we load the page for editing?

Also would there be any way for your genius team to perhaps indicate on separate pages etc that aren’t published etc. Often I get pages that are named the same or very similar and I can’t tell if they are the current live page or an iteration, etc.

Regretfully we do not have a preview or at least a preview link icon when you are selecting a page/post to edit.

We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development.

By the way, if you want to check whether the page is published or not, simply go to the Cog (gear) icon and check the status:

Thanks for the response. What is the reason that this ability was possible previously but not now? Secondly, I realize that I can go to the gear but that is more clicks and actions. As an interface and usability based company that by itself should dictate the direction you take. Highlighting the page entries or adding a small icon somehow would be a relatively easy solution. For the page preview capturing a quick screencap on save would allow for some sort of hover preview. As well, that could also perhaps be used to save previews for the templates/presets.

Hope this comes soon, It’s really frustrating, especially wth large sites and multiple people working on versions of pages.
