Page Editor Not Loading

Hi,

My client is having an issue with the page editor not correctly loading. The site is on her server (though she uses the same server as me, and I receive not issues on my own server - nor do I receive the issue on her server).

It just doesn’t load all the elements, or comes in completely blank sometimes.

She’s using Chrome, and has tried on two separate laptops.

To clarify: I can edit the website perfectly fine on her server, she is the only one getting the issue, and is finding it quite troublesome and frustrating as she has to refresh multiple times before she can edit anything.

The website is hosted on Siteground, and memory is set to 768mb. No plugin conflicts etc - I’ve gone through all the obvious troubleshooting issues. Could it be down to her own connection, and is there anything I can tell her to apply to perhaps solve/limit the issue?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Hmm, does that mean it’s specific to who’s accessing it? Did she checked the internet connectivity or browser cache?

And please provide your site’s URL and admin login credentials so I can try it too.

Thanks!

That seems to be the case in this situation, oddly!

Usually when I come across this situation myself it is down to the client having a bad host, but I’ve never experienced the issue on a large scale on Siteground personally, which is what I generally recommend to my clients.

She’s tried on multiple browsers, incognito mode etc.

I shall attach a login.

Hi There,

Thanks for the details!

I checked the site and the editor is loading absolutely fine on my end. I am using Chrome on Mac.
Only thing is the revolution slider is not loading in the editor which is a expected behavior of the third party plugins.

Not sure what is happening in your client end, maybe she has some network proxy issue which preventing some resources to load?

Thanks

Thanks - it also works flawlessly for me. She says no network issues etc, so not entirely sure on that front. Here’s her latest message however:

Also just to let you know I’m getting the error message you mentioned which reads something like try again later and mentions a cache issue? I’m really struggling to edit at all today.

Hi there,

I recommend trying it on another device and different internet provider, just to narrow down the causes on your client’s end.

Thanks!

Unfortunately we’ve tried multiple devices and browsers, and a different internet provider isn’t really an option as she works from home - though I agree it is looking like a network issue, but I’m not really sure what to suggest as solution to that for her.

Telling a client they have to get different internet in order to edit their website isn’t really ideal! Is there any network settings I can recommend changing etc?

Hi There,

There is no such network setting for the theme, yes there is sometime issue due to slower net connection.
We are really sorry but we can’t give you more suggestion on this issue.

Thanks for understanding!
