hi, I’m trying to customize the style of a specific page to display its content. Unfortunately, if I add sections to that page, I no longer see the content and also the content editor in WordPress disappears. The content in this case is a PDF viewer but I also tried with simple text and it doesn’t work.
Hello @Fabrica,
Thanks for writing to us.
I checked your page it seems that you have added the PDF shortcode which renders on the front end only. I added the section with the content which is rendering fine on my end. I would suggest you please clear your browser cache and recheck it.
Thanks
Hi, I was a little late in replying to you. I generated the new section and added Accordian, but I don’t see the contents of the page. Furthermore, if I try to edit the page with WP I cannot find the content section unless I delete the Cornestone one. My question is: how do I view/recall the “WP content” of a page by editing it with cornestone?
Hey @Fabrica,
Based on your screenshot, you can edit the page inside Cornerstone by clicking the edit with Cornerstone.
Please note that you can only edit Cornerstone content inside the builder because if you try to edit the code outside Cornerstone, it might lose the data.
Hope that helps.
hi, if I wanted to “recall” the content of a page created with WP blocks, editing that page in Cornestone, what should I do?
Hey @Fabrica,
If the content is created with a WP block, you cannot edit it inside Cornerstone. You need to create from scratch if you wish to use Cornerstone.
Hope that helps.
ok if I just wanted to insert the content created with a WP block how can I recall it in cornestone?
Hey @Fabrica,
To insert the WP Blocks content inside Cornerstone, I highly suggest using the Raw Content Element. Then you can make your WP Block into reusable blocks and install the plugin below to get the shortcode.
Hope that helps.
so I have no way to view the content of a page (text, image, etc.) and recall it within Cornestone except through a third-party plugin?
Hello @Fabrica,
Please understand that only pages created in Cornerstone can be edited in Cornerstone. If you have created the page with the WP Blocks, you can create a custom Single layout, insert the “Text element” with {{dc:post:the_content}}
dynamic element or simply use the predefined “The Content” element to display the WP Block content. you must assign this layout to the page as well.
- See the secure note below.
You will edit the page with Gutenberg or the WP Editor and then if you want to edit the layout, edit the custom single layout that is assigned to the page.
Best Regards.
